After weakening to a tropical storm, Danielle became a hurricane again Tuesday night with top winds of 75 mph, the National Hurricane Center reported.
Meanwhile, another system off the coast of Africa has a 90 percent chance of becoming a tropical depression in the next couple of days, the hurricane center said.
Danielle, the second hurricane of the season, is moving west-northwest at 18 mph and is expected to turn to the northwest and pick up some forward speed by Wednesday. Earlier today, top winds were estimated at 100 mph.
Computer models still show the storm eventually curving out to sea east of Bermuda. While the weather system would not have a direct effect on the East Coast, large storms often produce rough surf even from far out at sea.
The weather system marks the start of the Cape Verde season, when tropical waves leave the coast of Africa and have plenty of time to form and strengthen as they cross the Atlantic.
On Tuesday, it was about 795 miles east of the Lesser Antilles.

It’s probably depressed because its not a named storm yet. Dt. Phil may help its self-esteem.
