Whalebone 7-Eleven held up by two men with a gun
Two men held up the Whalebone 7-Eleven at gunpoint early Tuesday and ran away, Nags Head police reported.
The robbery took place at about 1:20 a.m. and an undisclosed amount of money was taken. The store is at 7315 S. Virginia Dare Trail.
Police are asking for help in finding the suspects. They provided these descriptions:
One was black, 20 to 23 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, skinny build, clean shaven with short hair and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
The other was black, 18 to 21 years old, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, stocky build, small mustache, with black hair in dreadlocks or braids hanging underneath his hood. He was wearing a black oversized winter coat with white or light colored fur around the edges.
Police ask that anyone with information call the department at 441-6386 or the Dare Community Crime Line at 473-3111. Those supplying information can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
