Hotline is offering free prom dresses

L to R, Hotline Too volunteer Paula Diefert and store manager Tammy Cross, show off some of the brand-name gowns the store is donating to local high school girls. Bobbie Beckley photo.
“We have saved some long and short dresses, and some dressy pants outfits, plus a few purses and pairs of shoes,” store manager Tammy Cross said. “We want the girls to know that if they cannot afford a dress they may be eligible to receive one free.”
Cross said it works this way: e-mail your name, phone number, high school name,
dress size, shoe size and any questinos to promproject10@yahoo.com.
“A Hotline representative will e-mail you back, at which time you can schedule a
personal appointment to see if your perfect prom dress is at Hotline. Appointments
will be held March 14 between 1 and 5 p.m. at Hotline Too in Nags Head,” Cross said.
She said Hotline volunteers will help the girls with their selections. She also
asked that any resident or business owner who would like to donate new or gently
worn dresses, shoes or evening bags can drop them off at Hotline Too at milepost 10 in Nags Head.
“Please let the volunteers know that the items are for the prom program,” she said.
